PhD student in Manufacturing & Enterprise Engineering (Research)
Currently doing a PhD in "Manufacturing & Enterprise Engineering Research" at Brunel (Brunel University, West London).
I have a dual-degree MSc Advanced Manufacturing Systems at Brunel University in London / MEng in Electrical Engineering and Electronics ESIEE-Amiens. I completed this dual-degree programme with distinction (A* at dissertation and A at all the modules).
This experience has been an efficient preparation for my future international career as the courses were taught in English and the modules that I studied were all linked to the world of industry: Global Manufacturing and Enterprise Systems, Operations Strategy, Quality and Reliability, Robotics and Manufacturing Automation.
I lived in Frankfurt (Germany) for two and a half years (2002-2005). This opportunity made me realize how beneficial an experience abroad can be. I acquired an intercultural profile through my stay in Germany and my travels in European countries. My parents now live in Prague (Czech Republic) which will enable me to learn more about the Central and Eastern European culture too. I did a 6 week work placement in Germany in 2009 where I really enjoyed interacting with my colleagues in a foreign language. This experience reinforced my desire to follow an international career. I feel confident in an international environment and have learnt to adapt quickly.

Experience in associations :
•Membre of association “les Francas” (2008): an association helping pupils to do their homework and teaching them electronic basics by completing a small project with them in electronics.
•President of APOGEE: an association organising the Gala ESIEE which took place on the 28th November 2008 in Amiens, a big event welcoming 1500 people, mostly students. The organisation of this project took 7 months with a budget of 41k€.

Duties:
- Independent familiarization with Programmable Logic Controllers (Siemens S7-300)
- Realization of PLC-projects: simulation and automation of an installation.
- Excel Visual Basic Application Project: realization of an Excel macro enabling the managers to compare the progresses of different projects over a chosen amount of time and to have a global view on the projects in the whole factory.

- Event communication : giving away flyers, posters, radios spots, videos, web sites...
- Negotiation (to have the best service at the lowest price)
- Introduction to risk and safety issues
- Planning the different stages and defining priorities
- Keeping the team (18 students) motivated and distributing tasks
- Writing the contracts

Duties:
- Tidying up a warehouse and updating the references by using a GMAO program.
- Calculating the compressed air production cost in the factory, involving visits of production sites and understanding of the different production processes.
- Programming converters with a specialized program for the Automation and Industrial Computing service.
