I am a goal orientated person, very eagar to learn and develop my skills and i enjoy working as part of a team.
Employed as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor within the Carillion North West Regional Civils sector. I have been based on the Stalybridge substation project since January 2010 in a full-time role as site QS. The current phase of the Works involves demolition of the existing substation, transferring the facility with upgraded equipment into a new GIS building and other structures to channel the electricity supply and making good of site grounds (275kV and 400kV sites). My current role on site requires me to work directly with the client in completing my key responsibilities.
Previously I was working at the Birchwood head office from January 2009, working on various projects and I was also responsible for compiling the period end Regional reporting for the Civil Engineering business within the North-West. During this period, I also spent time resolving and finalising a number of historic disputed accounts.
I have also worked between two sites part time and head office during this initial period – the Coventry Road project in Birmingham involving replacement of bridge structures and associated statutory undertaker works and Stalybridge Substation in Manchester in earlier phases of the works above. My responsibilities on these projects included on site measurement as part of the application process and assisting the senior commercial staff in monthly reporting submissions.

Employed as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor within the Roads and Major Projects sector of Carillion based at Deeside site north of Chester on the boarder of North Wales. Deeside was a major road reconstruction including three new bridges. This role was principally to manage subcontractor accounts.
Before Carillion, I worked for Atkins Rail on various items of works. I set up a GRN system to monitor staff and labour costs. I had some reception duties alongside assisting the Resources Manager, based in Middlewich, Cheshire.
While at university, i worked in a bar/restaurant, followed by NPower part-time to fit around my university and college course work.
