To Recycle or not to recycle
So what, why bother, computer in the boot, down the dump, job done. I know business has a Duty of Care towards computer waste, but its only one machine, should'nt be a problem.
Or is it and are you making to many assumptions?
Firstly, what happens if you have more than one computer and are you sure that you data is really safe. How much do you really value your business accounts or maybe even the last employee payroll details.
My experience comes from watching old computers being thrown into skips from offices in central London. Watched it a couple of times, then decided it was wrong. So now I dispose and reuse this equipment. Still a big pile to get through.
If anyone needs any assistance reagrding the safe disposal of computer equipment then drop me a line.
Good luck everyone,
The man of wisdom is never of two minds;
the man of benevolence never worries;
the man of courage is never afraid.

2005 - 2010I established Loop Computer Reuse Ltd with my busines partner to focus on the removal and reuse of waste computer equipment.
We decided very early on the focus on schools, who were having problems disposing of their old computer equipment. This has been very rewarding for us and we have adpoted the idea that the schools money is better spent on books.
We have now branched out into supplying systems to silver surfers and members of the community who cannot usually afford a new computer.
