Description: providing support to UNEP's temporary Secretariat for the International Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) and to the implementation of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MA) Follow-Up Initiative.

-Providing input to the development of the IPBES strategy, daily oversight, and monitoring of activities;
-Substantive contributions to the development of documents for the IPBES meetings; coordination of the organisation of IPBES meetings;
-Support to the development and implementation of a multi stakeholder engagement strategy on IPBES (governments worldwide, international scientific and NGO communities, and private sector);
-Development and implementation of a communication strategy on IPBES and on the MA; contribute to the development of the Division and UNEP’s ecosystem management sub-programme communications strategies;
-Oversight and coordination of reporting activities (internal and to donors);
-Support to financial management and resource mobilisation; and
-Support to the recruitment and management of interns, consultants, and implementation partners;

PROJECT MANAGER UNITED KINGDOM
PROFOREST (International Consultancy)/DEFRA (UK Ministry Environment and Agriculture)

Role: Awareness raising/ implementation of the public timber procurement policy and support to international forestry projects.

-Development and implementation of an awareness campaign for the step change timber procurement policy in the UK
- Coordination of a joint engagement programme with Local Authorities (Government, WWF-UK and the Timber Trade Federation) on sustainable timber procurement
- Delivery of workshops/ training/presentations for the public and the private sectors
- Support to bilateral programmes on sustainable development (India, Brazil, Mexico, China and South Africa) and international forestry projects.

PROJECT OFFICER UNITED KINGDOM
WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) - Organics team
Market development for recycled products in the UK, focusing on compost used in agriculture

- Advocacy work: influencing major stakeholders in the policy, retail and farming sectors
- Project management: research and development, training and dissemination projects (40)
- Marketing, Public Relations, development of partnerships and networking
- Financial programming and strategic planning of the programme
- Supervision of contractors and consultants

NB:WRAP is a company set-up and financed by the British Governement. Its aim is to meet the target established by the Landfill Directive. The Organics team focuses on the promotion of compost and Anaerobic Digestate in the agricultural, and the horticultural and landscaping sectors.
