September 2007/January 2008: Subsequently, hired for a short term contract as Junior In-house Counsel in the Construction, Property Assets & Development Department of Club Méditerranée S.A. (Paris, France):
• Follow-up and development of a Data Room within the scope of the transfer of some « Club Med villages»:
I had to gather all the contracts relating to the “Village” in question, list the key clauses and mark off the key
points of every contract
• Elaboration and development of a template construction contract data base
• Drafting legal notes intended for the other branches of the Legal Department about legal points that they were not specialized in but that could be helpful in their work
• Drafting simplified legal notes intended for the other departments of the company in order to make it easier for them to understand points of law that were linked to their work
• Assistance to an in-house lawyer on a construction litigation case and Follow-up of the case: I was in charge of reviewing the documents (both e-discovery and hard copy review), summing up the facts and drawing up a justification plan

Intern In-House Lawyer in the Legal Department of Pepsico France S.N.C. (French subsidiary of PepsiCo Inc.) (Ile-de-France, France)
• Assistance to the Marketing and Trade Marketing departments in their daily legal issues relating to promotional operations (e.g. validation of discount vouchers); lotteries/drawing games (e.g.: confirm compliancy of the game); labelling, packaging, advertising medium (e.g. confirm that there were no errors or omission in the legal mandatory information), etc.
• Trademark research for the company trademark portfolio (i.e.: ascertain availability of the marks to be registered) and provide assistance to the Marketing teams in the trademark registration process
• Various legal research and advice at the request of the different departments of the company in order to make it easier for them to understand points of law that were linked to their work
• Drafting, Checking and correcting contracts (e.g.: sponsorship agreements, general maintenance agreements) and different relating documents (e.g.: amendments to commercial contracts)
• Follow-up of different litigation cases (e.g.: injunctions, trademark infringement cases, etc.): I was in charge of reviewing documents, contacting the authorities/people in relation with the case and managing the legal and administrative formalities
• Management of the legal and administrative formalities of the different entities owned by the company (board meetings, relocation of headquarters/offices, appointment of the members of the board, etc.)
