Shuliang Li
Senior Lecturer, the University of Westminster
Dr Shuliang Li has been a Senior Lecturer in Business Information Management at Westminster Business School, University of Westminster, since 2001. His qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Electronic Computing), a Master's degree in Management Science (Industrial Management Engineering) and a Doctoral degree (PhD) in Intelligent Decision Support Systems.
Shuliang teaches Decision Support Systems, Decision Support for Managers in the Digital Age, Web Authoring, MSc projects, and other modules. His main research interests cover decision support systems, hybrid intelligent business systems, Web-based intelligent business systems, Internet enabled multi-agent based intelligent decision support systems, e-commerce systems evaluation, systems modelling and computer simulation. He can supervise PhD research students in relevant fields.
Shuliang has created various intelligent decision support software systems and published several books and many research papers. Some of his recent publications have appeared in the following refereed or peer-reviewed international journals: Decision Support Systems (the international journal)(2000), European Journal of Marketing (2000), Marketing Intelligence & Planning (1999, 2000, 2002, 2004), Industrial Management and Data Systems (2001), International Journal of Management and Decision Making (2001), Expert Systems with Applications (an international journal)(2005,2007,2008), and Intelligent Systems in Accounting, Finance and Management (international journal)(2007). His publications have been cited and used by many professors and researchers in USA, Finland, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Greece, Spain, Turkey, South Africa, Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China.
Shuliang was selected to submit for the UK Research Assessment Exercises (RAE) in 2001 and 2008.
He is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Modelling in Management and an ad hoc reviewer for Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics. He also served as a reviewer for British Computer Society SGAI AI2004, AI2005, AI2006, AI2007, AI2008, other related international conferences and several book publishers.
