Seb Maley

After a stint as a freelance musician, Seb joined Qdos in 2003 and moved into sales within the tax and insurance area of the business. He is now Freelancer Manager, responsible for the Freelance Team and the company’s dealings with freelancers/contractors.

He has extensive experience and knowledge of the IR35 legislation and offers regular support and advice to freelancers; he also holds professional insurance qualifications. He knows the contracting world inside out and enjoys nothing more than assisting freelancers in their fight against absurd tax legislation.

Qdos Consulting has been working with freelancers for 20 years. When IR35 was introduced they developed revolutionary insurance products to aid and protect the freelancer in their fight against HMRC. This included Tax Liability Cover (TLC35), a ‘peace of mind’ policy which covered not only Qdos’ representation costs, but also indemnity for all IR35 liabilities.

A prominent expert in status issues, Qdos have won over 1,000 IR35 enquiries resulting in savings for freelancers of well over £35m.
