Impact analysis for the migration of Task's website from PHP 4.x to 5.x

As the lead developer for the UK in the 2M€ European Project, KnowEDM (tool making and precision engineering), I provided the core component of the knowledge based software that analyses surfaces and cavities in 3D models of mould tools to automate the decision making process that identifies and extracts EDM areas from HSM areas. When I joined the project the prime version of the software was built with a testing front-end using XAML, but left lots of room for improvement. I then cooperated with the other European partners, translated and optimised new mathematical algorithms to enhance the software so it actually performs faster. The use of this software by European tool makers should help them to stay competitive over the Asian market as it reduces the lead time by over 35%.
Academic supervisor on a two years government funded Knowledge Transfer Partnership project (KTP) between Bucks New University and Farmex Corporation. I coached a graduated associate, with strong programming and wireless networking skills, to help him lead a strategic project that adds Wireless capability to existing range of network products for the company. As a mentor within the university, I also guided him for his professional future. He is now fully aware of its potential and a very competitive IT professional
I have maintained and improved in-house applications for CRDM Ltd, currently initiating a global project, articulated around a SharePoint web application, that aims to help the sales to easily keep track of any aspect of the components that have been built by the company so that no time is wasted when requested information of past production.
