I am currently employed as a security consultant; I have previously held positions at supervisor and line manager levels. I have experience in writing and putting together tender documents for all aspects of security, I write and produce my own risk assessments and put in place the appropriate action plans as well as write general security reports. I manage a large budget on behalf of my clients and I work to fee targets. I have considerable communication skills to be able to liaise with client groups and provide KPIs to help keep dialogs ongoing. I can design and specify electronic and mechanical security systems.
I have a secondary role of health and safety co-ordinating, this means that I arrange training and write risk reports for different areas with in my company.
I am keen to learn and I am interested in IT security and IT forensic and accounting forensics, I would like to progress my career path towards senior management at director level.
I am currently study for my foundation degree in security and risk management at the university of Leicester criminology department on a correspondence course.

Managing a three million pound plus trading account, this consists of providing a comprehensive security service to various clients and associated departments.
This service is for the provision of security surveys and written reports. The documents I produced are general and specific detailed security surveys, risk management surveys, security briefs, security policy’s and security procedures, auditing of security functions and systems, these are written and presented to directors at board level, senior managers and department mangers, for appropriate discussion and actions. I also develop and write formal quotation and tender documents as well as oversee and conduct tender or quotation exercises to contractors on behalf of my clients.
I have achieved this by providing appropriate advice to my all clients regarding all aspects of security while ensuring best practice and prices are achieved while ensuring that the clients budgets are managed effectively, by designing and specifying security systems such as intruder alarms, closed circuit television systems, safe’s, locks and the effective management of manned security guarding contracts as well as negotiating prices and developing and overseeing the introduction, implementation and management of any security system or security function that the client requires or currently uses.
Secondary Role
To provide a comprehensive security service both physical and technical alongside a facilities management and health and safety role. This requires arranging repairs and maintenance to the buildings and land belonging to the client (these can be anything from large schools, office blocks, land or listed buildings) and inspecting the works, negotiating prices for works and obtaining tenders or quotes for any works. The management and development of financial systems for security use which involves raising jobs and orders for the finance and audit officers. I regularly attend and sit on various committee’s and property reuse and disposal groups and any other meetings to discuss the client’s requirements and advice on security issues to senior management and board level. Health and Safety advice requires me to report to the Health and Safety director and assist the office manager with all health and safety related items, organising and implementing health and safety training, carrying out risk assessments and maintain the associated documents such as: display screen equipment assessments, injuries/accident book, work permit allocation.
Other roles
I help and assist senior managers in investigating losses, criminal offences committed against the company and clients’s as well as liaison with the local or regional police and attend magistrates or crown courts, serve notices and summonses, conduct evictions and affirming legal documents on behalf of the company and client as they may require.
