1990 - 1995Quoted £15 million market capitalisation international group providing specialist subsea engineering services and products to the offshore oil industry. Comprehensive financial and strategic management of the group; liaison with wide range of advisers; jointly represented the company to the city; identified, analysed and executed business development opportunities.
• Restructured the group, disposing of loss-making shipping operations and refocusing on core profitable activities. Jointly negotiated and completed M&A deals totalling £34 million;
• Completely reorganised and simplified financing arrangements, leading to improved banking relationships and better funding terms;
• Effected major improvements to group management reporting.

• Built up the accounting and budgeting departments from scratch including systems and staff.
