I am a very senior consultancy/programme manager help companies to reduce the risk of failure caused by their IT systems, whether it is the failure to recognise that they need to build resilience into their systems and processes, or failure to exploit the potential of their investment in IT.
My work work often starts with getting to grips with their fundamental business issues and plans for the future. I design pragmatic solutions and often direct change programmes that harmonises inputs from across the company and its stakeholders.
Originally, a public sector manager I trained first as a consultant and external computer auditor with Price Waterhouse, as a senior manager with KPMG and as a programme manager with Hedra/Mouchel.
ACHIEVEMENTS
• Turning round seven failing projects for Business Link London creating a managed portfolio and motivating over 35 staff and contractors to deliver.
• Successfully delivering a 3yr £15m e-business and technology change programme for a government agency under Prince2 – including procurement and management of a £2.5m system development contract..
• Leading the preparation of project and programme business cases that have obtained approval from HM Treasury for expenditure of over £340 million
• Managing complex Stakeholder programmes for example covering 430 Local Authorities, 9 Government Offices, 2 Government Departments, Royal Town Planning Institute & Law Society and the Deputy Prime Minister
• Leading a team of seven HM Land Registry staff through an inter-organisational process review as a precursor to moving all stages of all property sales in England & Wales to an online transactional system
• Re-engineering support processes and cutting Prudential telecom costs by 27%
• Leading the development of an IT strategy for a major UK regulator
• Developing global standard computer audit methods for Reuters and leading an international team of seven auditors/consultants over a period of 3 years,
• Delivering due diligence review of contact centre investment in Macedonia

2000 - 2008Selling and delivering consultancy focused on improving customer services in the government sector. Key achievements included:
• Delivering a very complex customer focused change programme for the Planning Inspectorate (2000-2003).
• Introducing customer focus and improved customer experience as a key investment justification in 3 government bodies (2002, 2006, 2008).
• Winning HM Treasury approval for three business cases totalling over £300 million (2002, 2006).
