I'm responsible for creating and leading a multilingual localisation team (specialising Pokemon games). The team will consist of native English (UK), German, French, Italian and Spanish speakers who can translate from Japanese or English, and translate everything necessary for the localisation of computer games, including in-game text, manuals and packaging, etc. We'll have to work within limited (usually tight) time frame, and with a lot of unpredictable and changeable factors.
I'll also have to coordinate with the parent/related companies in Japan and in the US, as well as the other departments of the company such as marketing and legal, making sure that the localisation of the game will be done on time and meet all the requirements from various aspects (linguistical, technical, legal, commercial and in terms of the company policy, etc.).
