I enjoy finding creative and successful solutions to what are perceived to be unsolvable problems.
I have studied and applied Lean and 6-Sigma approaches in transactional, technical and manufacturing environments. This involves customer focus, a 'can-do' attitude, and a diverse toolset to find, implement, and institutionalize the winning solution.
I get immense pleasure from developing others and seeing my teams mature - whether it be through a training class or an individual project review.
As a member of the leadership team, I support the business in delivering the success of The Improvement Journey to Process Excellence through:
• Creation of management infrastructure and by the provision of lean and six sigma
• Providing expertise on the application of six sigma tools and techniques
• Delivery of high quality coaching to Black Belts and Green Belts both during and after training.
• Supporting in project identification, people selection and the governance of the process excellence quality drive within Rolls-Royce
• Ensuring that projects are appropriately sponsored and aligned to deliver maximum customer and business benefit within appropriate timescales.
2007 - 2009• Led a team of 49 Black Belts and 82 Green Belts
• Developed the problem solving capability for a department of 360 people through training, coaching and mentoring
• Responsible for supplier development, acting as consultant and trainer
• Leader for major Chassis projects, delivering regular presentations to Directors
• Created and implemented a successful departmental strategy
