I have always worked in an international environment and I am a very keen linguist. I am a qualified translator working with the English-French language pair. I specialise in translation in the following fields: wine & spirits, travel and tourism, food and marketing. I also undertake more general translation projects with the same attention to details and accuracy.

2001 - 2004-Organisation of events (dinners, cocktails, gala evenings) for members of the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain. Events ranged from 100 to 500 persons.
-Main responsibilities involved: Finding a venue; negotiating venue hire and venue package; finding photographers; designing invitations and marketing documents; securing high attendance at events; scheduling of events and making sure of the smooth running of events on the day.
-Translation of various marketing documents in both French and English.
1998 - 1999Representative for the town of Angers, in charge of the twinning office in Wigan
-PR activities (organisation of a wide range of events and manifestations between associations, schools, football clubs etc from the towns of Angers and Wigan).
-Translation of official documents, brochures, correspondence, various reports.
-Interpreter for businessmen and professionals in specialized sectors (medical, mechanics, law, etc.).
1996 - 19966-month internship in a cooperative in France
Duties involved:
-Developing and promoting a new product on the Scandinavian market
-Defining a marketing strategy
-Creating and translating marketing documents into French and English.
