Mike Conradi
Associate, Kemp Little LLP
I am a technology and communications lawyer specialising in transactional and regulatory work. See more about me at http://www.linkedin.com/in/mconradi
I advise clients in the technology sector - whether as suppliers, customers, investors or lenders. Recent work on the transactional side includes three large IT projects, each involving the purchase by different international businesses of complex IT or communications solutions. Two of these involved banks, and the other involved supplying an IP-VPN to a multinational company. In two cases I acted for the customer, in the other for the supplier.
On the regulatory side, I have an extensive understanding of the various IT, telecoms and e-commerce regulations, having spent a year on secondment to OFTEL (before it became part of OFCOM) and then having advised many clients on related areas. I advised AOL, for example, on their campaign a few years ago to force BT to make available an unmetered dial-up internet access service. This resulted in OFTEL's "Fixed Rate Internet Access Call Origination" determination, the first such determination in Europe. I also advised the government of Croatia on the drafting of their telecoms legislation immediately prior to liberalisation of the market.
