Michelle started as a Sustainability Project Consultant for IES, which gives her a strong techical background with the Virtual Environment software. Her focus is in the area of energy modeling and computer simulation. Her professional and educational background in architecture allows her to see the field of energy modeling from the side of the designer, pushing the industry to use modeling for schematic and design development to evolve the performance of a design before it ever reaches the engineer.
