As an independent brand consultant Mark has been behind the development of many national and international brand-building initiatives. He combines a creative background with the analytical thought processes of strategic planning, to help increase the value of a client’s brand. He has 25 years experience in a wide range of brand management and communication roles.

He began his career in 1985 working as a packaging designer on a number of interesting NPD projects. He then moved to Sampson Tyrrell where he spent over 7 years working on major blue chip Corporate Identity projects including MB Group, Scottish Power, Shell RVI and Castrol. In 1993 he moved to Wolff Olins where he spent a further 6 years on global branding projects culminating in a lead consulting role to General Motors overseeing brand management activities for Vauxhall, Opel, Saab, Cadillac & Chevrolet. In 1999 he became Head of 2D Design at Conran Design Group responsible for a team of 22 designers.

At the height of the dot-com boom Mark joined a technology company called Quidnunc as a Digital Brand Strategist where he helped to create the JamJar brand for Direct Line, e-enable Scottish Power and played a key role in developing a digital service for Man IP.
Since 2002 Mark has been working as an independent consultant advising other creative businesses and directing and overseeing his own integrated brand building projects.

Most recently; Mark has joined forces with two colleagues to launch a new company called Personal Branding Limited. It does exactly what it says on the tin; helping individuals discover the power of their own personal brand in our Internet enabled world.
