Live Support Analyst
• Supported and enhanced a variety of banking software applications written in Java and running on a UNIX platform by providing data fixes and enhancements using SQL and software fixes and enhancements developed in Java, XSLT, XML, JavaScript and LDAP.
• Liaised with several other teams in the IT department, including Database Administrators to apply data fixes and first line support to explain fixes, both verbally and in written form.
• Produced software releases, following structured procedures, including the writing of release notes.

• Programmed and tested software changes for the system running on a large bank’s ATMs (cash machines).
• Investigated intricate software faults and produced software fixes developed in Pascal-86 then in C++, which helped in making the system stable and reliable.
• Wrote test plans and tested software fixes, to ensure quality of software changes.

• Programmed changes requested by clients in Databus – a 3GL similar to COBOL.
