I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Psychology and started my career in Marketing & Advertising working for brands such as General Motors, Financial Times, Kimberly-Clark and Microsoft in the UK and Germany, before moving in to Executive Search.
My Executive Search expertise lies within Retail, Leisure and Consumer goods especially at Board & Director level across Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Property, Finance, HR and General Management where I have been working in the UK for the last 7 years focussing on International assignments. 2008 - 2009Responsible for the P&L of the Consumer Search division for Charterhouse Search, a new business unit within the Charterhouse Partnership - the largest recruitment business in the Middle East since 2003. Set up the business from scratch, recruiting and developing a team of Executive Search consultants and Researchers specialising in Retail, FMCG, Consumer durables, Leisure, Hospitality, Entertainment, Automotive and Media across the entire GCC and Middle Eastern markets. Also grew a strong presence in Asia and CEE.
2006 - 2008High achieving Executive Search consultant (2007 - top ten, 2008 - no.1 biller with £140k in Q1 before I relocated to Dubai). Responsible for Sales & Marketing Search in Consumer practice initially before I developed a new business unit for the company making us International specialists. Grew Tesco account from <£50k p/a t >£500k p/a billings by expanding a previously UK and Finance centric account into their other 13 markets across Marketing, Commercial, Operations, Property and Strategy.
2003 - 2006Developed the permanent recruitment offering across Consumer clients for a previously freelance/interim business model. Responsible for part of the internal consultant training programme.
1998 - 20024 years working in the UK and Germany in both Agency and Clientside for General Motors, Virgin, Kimberly-Clark, Financial Times and Microsoft. Delivered global and local campaigns for these brands using Advertising, Promotions, E-commerce, Events, Trade marketing, POS, Brochures and Local marketing tools. Achievements include being the youngest Account management executive at McCann-Erickson at 22, running the global FT account at 24 and launching Windows XP for Microsoft at 25.
