    Summary

Jean-Michel Jacoulot is the Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Trident Energy, an international oil and gas company focused on the acquisition, operation and optimisation of mid-life assets. He has over 25 years of experience in Senior Management in the industry, having graduated from INSA Lyon, the French National Institute of Applied Sciences, in 1991 and joining Perenco, an exploration and production company, a few years later. Prior to co-founding Trident Energy in 2016, Jean-Michel Jacoulot was the Chief Executive Officer of Perenco, a company in which he spent over twenty years in a number of roles. He began as an asset manager in the business’ Gabon subsidiary in 1995, and subsequently held the role of Country General Manager for Venezuela and then for Guatemala until 2003. As Country General Manager, he took on the responsibility for running the subsidiary’s operations, overseeing the integration of acquisitions, as well as maintaining Perenco’s relationships with the Regulatory Authorities in the country, and in the case of Venezuela, with the National Oil Company. Jean-Michel Jacoulot returned to Paris in 2003 to take on the role of Area Manager for Perenco’s activities across Africa. This meant overseeing key functions such as operations, finance, risk management and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Before becoming Chief Executive Officer, he spent two years as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. He was based in London and focused on the restructuring of the company and the establishing of a corporate culture around Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) for the organisation. During his nine year tenure as Chief Financial Officer of Perenco, Jean-Michel Jacoulot oversaw the completion of a series of successful acquisitions of mid-life assets as well as major development projects. In that time, the Group’s reserves and operated-production doubled to 450,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
