Gilles ERULIN

Gilles Erulin is the CEO of Tawa plc, a listed Run-Off consolidator of insurance and reinsurance companies. Gilles is also the chairman of CX RE and KX RE, two reinsurance companies pertaining to the Tawa group.

Gilles is :
- a Board member of Christies International Plc (the UK auction house) and,
- a member of the investment committee of Jade River Management, a Viet-Nam Investment fund management company.

Gilles was previouly a board member of
- Bouygues Construction
- Rexel
- Guilbert
- Le Point

Gilles is "Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur"

Board membership role

Gilles has been Global Head of Insurance for Financière Pinault, the private equity group of the Pinault family (PPR, Gucci, YSL, Chateau latour, Christie's etc) from 2000 to 2007.

In that capacity he managed the acquisition of Aoba by Financière Pinault, the first life insurance company ever acquired 100% by overseas investors in Japan, and supervised that company’s run-off strategy from 1999. He managed the sale of Aoba in Sept 2004 to Prudential Life of Japan. Gilles also supervised the run-off of ANLAC, a Californian insurance company.

Gilles was a Board member of Artemis.

From 1993 to 2000 Gilles was Head of M&A for Financière Pinault - Artemis. During these years Gilles participated in multiple financial undertakings such as: launch of take-over bid on “Worms et Cie” + Raising FF 30bn financing, Friendly take-over bid on Christie's (UK Auction firm) + Raising 780m£ financing, purchase and listing of Ipsos, tqkeover bid on Sefimeg etc…

Gilles was part of the Direction des operations financieres which provided corporate finance advisory to clients of the French branch
