I currectly work for Smith & Williamson in the Management Accounts department, and have been working here since 1st March 2004. I have completed my ACCA exams, final exam was sat in June 2009 and the result was emailed on 17th August 2009.
At present I do :
Monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts
VAT returns
FSA returns via Gabriel
Payroll control
Training fellow collegues.
Statutory Accounts
2000 - 2004I went to PricewaterhouseCoopers at become work in their International And Expatriate Payroll department, mainly to get more understanding of other accounts processes. Whilst at PwC I started the IPPM (now renamed IPP) diploma, which is a 2 year course.
After 2.5 years PwC sold our department to Capita, and I was TUPE across.
1995 - 2000I first went to Miki Travel Limited as my first full time job from college as a Purchase Ledger clerk. My duties included working on hotel and travel documentation to our computerised system and making sure that suppliers were paid on time.
After 18 months I was promoted to Supervisor, which meant my duties changed to training my colleagues and reviewing all their work, as well as my original duties.
