LEAN | TURNAROUND | CULTURE CHANGE:

• Led a 1st Tier Automotive supplier to record profits in 2009, despite extraordinarily negative economic conditions.
• Recovered £3 million of £7 Million profit-drop for a Defence company in 18 Months.
• Conflict Resolution facilitated: Executive team for packaging Co. in Southern Germany.
• Led exclusive joinery SME to accommodate record T/O, halting plans to move site via process developments saving >50% floor-space.
• Established SO&FP process, rationalising sales portfolio to compliment R&D / design & production.
• £1million in year savings made for a Quarrying company, RCA led to improving process / logistics & changing the recoveries accounting mechanism.

LEAN | INTERNAL CONTROL | RISK MITIGATION | SUPPLY CHAIN:

• Led full Hoshin implementation, Board to Shop-floor. (High Tech Defence).
• Increased 11% cumulative yield to 94% in 3 Months (High Tech Defence).
• Trained Hoshin to VC owned Global Execs. (Aerospace and Automotive)
• Reduced a £1.4 million inventory value to £400K in 18 months, Kanban to Line-side / vendor rationalisation (1st tier Commercial Automotive - controls)
• Trained and implemented Hoshin Kanri to US Venture Capital Acquisition in Southern Germany. (Pump Manufacture - 4500 staff)
• Implemented 9 production cells, increasing capacity, 320 staff reduced to 130 over 3years, H&S issues reduced to Zero / annum, 1st in-group to attain1000PPM quality target. (1st tier commercial automotive – lighting with on-site optical moulding).
• Trained and led C/F team to use VSM – stabilising ERP to remove £100k / month stock adjustments.
• Trained and managed 5S audit team x14 people.
• Led technical documentation and spare parts ‘lean analysis’ projects for €430M food processing equipment manufacturer, across 4 EU countries. (Holland / Denmark / Germany / Italy).
• Summary: All Lean tools e.g. SMED, TPM / OEE, Standard Work (Takt), Kanban, Kaizen, DFMA, Poke Yoke, 5S, Visual Management, SPC, VSM / Value Streams etc. trained and used over 20yrs in various sectors.

SALES:

• Increased revenue across UK Central and ROI combined territories by 2000% in 2 yrs. Chinese tooling solutions for UK manufacturers in various sectors (Electronics / Safety equipment / Automotive).
• Specified and supplied pressing technology automation solutions to Automotive 1st tier suppliers to suit lean / takt based production lines – e.g. Autoliv, assembly of BMW mini airbags / Toyota / Nissan & Jaguar / EU Matic – Jaguar door hinge assemblies etc.

ENGINEERING:

• Apprenticed Mould-tool maker / precision engineer | Plastic injection moulding Technician / shop-foreman | 40Tonne Car-body panel press tool manufacture and test – Germany | Automotive dashboard welding assembly jigs and fixture production | Cam Auto Lathes | Maintenance | Toolmaker.
