I am responsible In Moorhead & McGavin, like Technical Manager, for ensuring that the high standards of quality, hygiene and effective working practices are maintained, audited and continually improved upon.
Key roles
1. Lead the development of food safety and quality systems
2. Work closely with Production Manager and production operators to ensure that quality standards are maintained and meet specification
3. Co-ordinate quality checks i.e. in-coming goods and finished products checks.
4. Monitor the effectiveness of the hygiene procedures
5. Provide technical information and support for customers
6. Deal with non-compliances and customer complaints, identify appropriate corrective actions
7. To liaise with external bodies & enforcement officers
8. Audit internal procedures and practices
9. Maintain ISO accreditation and developp & maintain HACCP
10. Monitor the control and documentation of procedures & forms
11. Monitor & record the quality of daily production
12. Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are followed

2. Designed and set up a bilingual website with English and Chinese versions and commercial documents
3. Responsible for financial aspects such as budgeting and forecasting of accounting plan, and clients’ proposals, obtaining funding opportunities, public allowance
4. Responsible for legal aspects of company implementation, obtaining official authorisation (business licence, tax certificates and others legal authorisation)
5. Negotiating with clients of small and large-scale companies, universities and research centres
