Managing a team of 6 Work and Learning Advisers I work towards getting homeless people in to sustained work and work-related training with the view to changing their lives for the better dramatically.

The belief of Crisis is that by helping people who are homeless through supporting their self-empowerment, raising their self-esteem and moving them forward to regaining a better control over their futures we can help to move them out of their current position in to a more positive existence.

I organise various training projects and schemes, manage a team of specialist IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance) professionals who each manage a caseload of individuals who they advise and support through their journey from homelessness and unemployment back in to paid work and accomodation.

As part of my role as the Senior Work and Learning Adviser at Crisis UK I report to SMT regularly, sit on Interview Panels for new staff, head up a Skills Development Forum of similar organisations and represent the organisation at conference on a regular basis.

My achievements include helping a large number of individuals from a bleak-seeming situation of despair towards a changed future of a home of their own, a job and the regaining often of eroded self-esteem.
