Anthony is a Chartered Management Accountant, with extensive practical Finance and Technology experience.

His career has moved from Public Sector to PLC's and Private Limited Companies. In the Private Sector, Anthony has worked with both large and small family owned businesses, start ups, venture capital backed organisations and sole traders.

Having successfully completed a number of senior level roles, Anthony created A&A Solutions.

A&A Solutions is predominantly aimed at developing the financial acumen of the business owners and managers in the SME sector across the North East region. All the benefits without the full cost or commitment of a full time FD. Current clients include an international plc, a national IT support company and a number of start up companies; large, medium or small business welcome.

A&A Solutions will be in a position to assist any business, of any size.

This is delivered in house, by working alongside the senior executive/s to understand their requirements for the business. Anthony will:
1. Take sufficient time to understand the business.
2. Identify how to align the aims of the business with it's financial capabilities.
3. Make a proposal, or a number of options, for consideration by the business.
4. Set out a plan of action.
5. Manage the process until completion.
6. Review success, and make recommendations for further improvement.

Throughout his career, Anthony has always recognised the importance of teamwork; but can, conversely, stand alone.

Anthony ensures effective communication, simplification of processes and above all visibility and clarity.

Anthony has “ground level” experience in all areas of Finance; qualifying as an Accounting Technician in 1998 proving his ability to perform and understand the transactional nature of financial processes.
Building on this success, Anthony qualified with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2001. This demonstrated his managerial and tactical level capabilities.

Anthony has since further developed his commercial acumen; significantly changing the face of retailing at Barker & Stonehouse Ltd - a successful family owned £50M turnover Furniture retailer based in the North East of England.
