DIYflex ( www.diy-flex.co.uk ): operational Key Account Management for SME's and others who need extra Key Account handling resource but prefer not to (or are not yet ready to) employ a full-time account manager. Principally in the UK DIY sector, but also now undertaking successful contracts in service companies.
2004 - 2006Independent importer of Hand and Power Tools and associated products, servicing the independent retail and merchant trade, plus a number of larger catalogue and distribution companies.
Position involved strategic and operational management of the business, particularly the sales team and warehousing/logistics, and Key Account Management of the larger accounts.
2001 - 2003Manufacture and import of electrical and electronic devices under brand names including MK, Friedland, Response Alarms, Gent, Trend. Responsible for account management of several major retailers (inc B&Q, Focus DIY, Argos).
Successes: won range review in B&Q for £6m+ of electronic security alarms business, and retained it despite the factory failing to meet required delivery dates.
1997 - 2000Manufacture and import of Hand Tools and associated products.
Responsible for all multiple retail and catalogue accounts, including B&Q, RS Electronics.
