I work with businesses to support where they want to get to. Invariably the business wants their people to deliver extraordinary results. As a rule they have the capacity or the potential but the results are not there. I will work with a business to identify the barriers and overcome them, change the way people think and release the potential. What is more I will challenge the business to make the results measurable.

I work with teams to develop the way they work to increase performance. Facilitating teams to get them into sustainable action quickly. Helping them define what they do and where they are going. Changing thinking and challenging the normal way things are done. Making change sustainable and the results measurable.

I work with individuals to make progress easier. Developing management and communication skills. Coaching presenters for specific presentations making them as effective as they can be. Coaching individuals to improve performance and increase impact. Raising awareness of others and making communication effective. Helping them define what success will look and feel like.

Independant facilitator working for training companies and consultancies. Specialising in Development Training using experiential learning to achieve behavioural change in individuals and teams.
With a background in retail / wholesale management and being very well qualified for coaching outdoor activities I worked throughout the UK as a freelance trainer / facilitator. The scope of training I specialised in included inter-personal skills, team skills, inter-team skills and culture change. Initially I took freelance work as a stop gap between jobs but quickly found that I was in great demand and exceptionally good. Within a year I was being asked to design, develop and deliver training courses and so set up a small business as a Sole Trader (Outdoor Leisure Services). This was massively successful and in October 1993 I joined forces with my current co-director and we went Limited forming what is now Unique Solutions Ltd.

With sole responsibility for a large watersports retail outlet in the Peak District of Derbyshire I also worked as a manager in the wholesale side of the same business (Nauti Sports). Wave Sports was the largest retail and wholesale business specialising in watersports equipment in the UK. Retail wise I was responsible for everything from accounts to staff and stock to training. On the wholesale side I was responsible for product development, stock, import and export and had specific responsibility for sponsorship and organisation of international expeditions. At the time I was also personally sponsored for international white water kayaking events.
